A body was found in a Swindon flat after a ‘woman was not seen for weeks’.

Police were called to an address in Aymer Place, Eldene, on Sunday afternoon (23 July)

The body of a woman, aged in her 70s, was located and a private ambulance was arranged.

Two people dressed in white forensic-style suits wearing masks were seen entering the flat as several police officers stood outside – according to a local resident.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police confirmed that they are “not thought to be any suspicious circumstances and a file will be prepared for the coroner”.

They added: “Our thoughts are with her friends and family.”
