A man has been arrested following a ‘dangerous’ pursuit in Swindon.
Roads policing officers, supported by specially-trained serious crime officers from Operation Fortitude, were involved in the chase this afternoon (Wednesday, 2 November).
It involved a red Mercedes which Wiltshire Police alleges failed to stop for officers before fleeing in a bid to escape.
The car was brought to a stop in Sudeley Way, at the junction with Ascham Road.
The suspect in the vehicle was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop for police, dangerous driving and drug driving. He remains in custody.
