UPDATE: Swindon man charged with flashing incidents not guilty after ‘suicidal year’

An alleged flasher has been charged with four counts of indecent exposure following incidents across Swindon over the past two months.

60-year-old Richard Alan Barret, of Edinburgh Street, was charged by police on Wednesday – just several hours after his arrest in the Lawn area when officers were called to reports of a man exposing himself and masturbating.

His charges relate to indecent exposures in Akers Way on 19 April and Wednesday’s incidents in both the Coate Water and Lawn Wood areas.

Barrett has been released on bail due to appear at Swindon Magistrates Court on 16 September.
