UPDATE: Man dies after being struck by lorry on major Wiltshire route
An air ambulance has been tasked for a ‘man hit by a lorry’ on the A4 in Marlborough.
Emergency services were called to the scene in Bath Road, close to Golding Avenue, at around 10.30am this morning (Thursday).
The exact nature of the incident is unknown at this time, but a casualty is receiving urgent medical care in the road.
According to a witness, a man was hit by a lorry. This is yet to be confirmed.
Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance was dispatched at around 10.45pm, with the helicopter landing nearby at 11am.
A second air ambulance has been tasked and is en route.
The road is currently closed in both directions, with traffic delays on the approach.
