A man has died after being struck by a lorry on a major route in Wiltshire.
Emergency services were called to the fatal road traffic collision on the A4 Bath Road, at Marlborough, at around 10.40am this morning (Thursday).
The incident involved a male pedestrian aged in his 60s, who was hit by a HGV near the junction for Golding Avenue.

Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance attended the scene alongside ambulance crews. Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance was stood down en route.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, Wiltshire Police confirmed.
A full-scale forensic collision investigation is underway – with the road likely to remain closed for the rest of the day and potentially into the early hours of Friday morning (5 December).

Closures in place between Golding Avenue and College Fields.

“A man has sadly died following a collision on the A4 in Marlborough this morning (04/12).
“At around 10.40am, we received a report that a pedestrian, a man in his 60s, had been involved in a collision on the carriageway with a lorry travelling eastbound on the A4 Bath Road, near the junction with Golding Avenue.
“The man was sadly declared dead at the scene. Enquiries are ongoing to establish his next of kin.
“The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene. No arrests have been made.
“The road remains closed in both directions while a full investigation into the collision is carried out.
