UPDATE: Four teens and woman, 23, arrested after Royal Wootton Bassett knife attack

Air ambulance medics have treated a 15-year-old boy for stab wounds in Royal Wootton Bassett.

Emergency services were called to the violent attack in Dior Drive at around 4.15pm today (1 January).

On arrival, they found that a 15-year-old boy has been stabbed – though it’s not yet clear how many times.

Wiltshire Air Ambulance’s critical care team provided treatment at the scene alongside police and local ambulance crews.

He has been taken to hospital for treatment of injuries which are not thought to be life-threatening.

Officers are currently carrying out enquiries in the area and people living locally are likely to notice a police presence throughout the evening.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “Our investigation is at a very early stage, and we would urge anyone with information to come forward.

“Any witnesses to the incident, or anyone who can assist our enquiries, is urged to contact us on 101, quoting log 251 of today’s date (01/01).”
