Police are urgently evacuating homes and have cordoned off a street in Swindon.
Officers have shut Meadowcroft, and adjoining roads, in both directions following a serious incident this morning (Tuesday).
It’s understood there is a suspicious package in the Dockle Way area.

A local resident told Wiltshire 999s that police had concerns about a rucksack on the pavement, and had noticed wires protruding from it.
Alongside more than ten police officers, a Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service officer and a South Western Ambulance Service operational commander are on scene.
Stratton St Margaret Parish Council says it has opened Meadowcroft Community Centre for displaced residents.
In a vague statement, Wiltshire Police wrote: “Road closures are currently in place on Meadowcroft and Dockle Way in Stratton as officers respond to an ongoing incident.
“Please avoid the area and follow any diversion signs.
“Updates will be provided when we are able to do so.”
