The A419 is closed southbound following a serious road traffic collision.
Emergency services were called to the scene north of Swindon at around 8am this morning (12 June).
Wiltshire 999s understands a car and van were involved in the smash, with at least one person seriously hurt.
Great Western Air Ambulance was seen in the skies above as it was tasked to the incident.
The main route is closed southbound between Cricklade and Blunsdon.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We are asking drivers to avoid the A419 following a serious road traffic collision.
“Closures are in place on the southbound carriageway between the Blunsdon junction and Cricklade.”
