Police have launched a probe after vapes were allegedly sold to kids outside a school.
Officers are looking into claims that a woman, believed to be a parent of a pupil, sold vapes to numerous Malmesbury School children.
It’s understood the students were sold refillable and rechargeable ELFBAR vapes with 10ml of liquid for £15. The same kit retails for £7.99 online.
It’s claimed that children aged as young as 13 have been able to buy the nicotine products from the woman outside the school or from her home address.
Wiltshire Police confirmed that an investigation is ongoing, with officers “working to establish whether any criminal offences have been committed”.
Malmesbury School didn’t comment on the allegations, but said that information about “alleged criminal activity in the community is passed to the police”.
A spokesperson said the school has a “very close working relationship” with the force.
They added that as per normal practice, “there are senior staff positioned on duty on all exits and entrances to the school at high volume times”.
