Churchfields Academy is reportedly changing its name to Lawn Manor Academy.
Unconfirmed reports across social media are rife, with parents, students and former students currently posting about the name change.
Churchfields Academy in Old Walcot, which has around 800 pupils, was rated as ‘requires improvement’ by Ofsted in March 2016.
It is understood that they are set to merge with Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ Royal Wootton Bassett Academy through a multi-academy trust.
