A primary school headteacher has been targeted by a vandal with red spray paint.

A fence and pavement near Marlborough St Mary’s, in Ducks Meadow, Marlborough, were graffitied in the Easter holidays.

On the pavement, the vandal wrote: “Fuck St Mary’s Fuck Dan Crossman”, who is the Church of England school’s current headteacher.

The same was repeatedly written on a nearby fence, and two school signs were also sprayed.

One sign has the words “Mr. Nonce!” written in black marker pen in a box that should display the headteacher’s name.

A local resident told Wiltshire 999s that the graffiti was not there at 6pm on Monday evening (14 April), but had appeared by Tuesday morning (15 April).

It’s not clear whether the incident has been reported to Wiltshire Police. The force has been approached for a statement – updates to follow.

Marlborough St Mary’s did not respond to our request for comment.
