An e-bike was stolen at knifepoint in Swindon just hours after a male was stabbed in a similar robbery, Wiltshire Police has confirmed.

Emergency services were called to an address in Frobisher Drive, Walcot, following a report that a male had sustained knife wounds at approximately 2.30pm on Friday (9 September).

During the incident, the suspect took his electric bicycle before fleeing the scene.

Several hours later, at 6pm, two victims were approached by two teenage boys two miles away – in a park near May Close in the Gorse Hill area.

They grabbed one of the victims and demanded his electric bike before the victim was able to cycle away. The other victim was forced to hand over his Puma backpack.

Police say that during the robbery one of the suspects showed a knife in his waistband.

The suspects are described as white teenage boys, about 5ft 7in tall of medium build and iwth with accents.

One was wearing a black Puffa jacket, black tracksuit trousers and black trainers. The other was wearing a white t-shirt with a tiger logo, black trousers and black trainers.

It’s not yet clear whether the two similar incidents are being linked by detectives.
