Wiltshire Police has launched an investigation into a violent stabbing in Swindon.
Emergency services were called to an address in Frobisher Drive, Walcot, at approximately 2.30pm on Friday afternoon (9 September).
Two ambulances, an ambulance rapid response vehicle and up to ten police vehicles were spotted attending the serious incident.
A witness told Wiltshire 999s that CCTV captured the man being chased into a back garden, where he was repeatedly stabbed – possibly as many as three times.
The balaclava-clad suspect took the victim’s electric scooter, before fleeing the scene. Police are yet to make any arrests in connection with the robbery.
The horrifying footage has been shared with Wiltshire Police, as detectives probe the shocking attack.
The National Police Air Service helicopter from Bristol spent time circling the Walcot and Parks area following the incident.
In a statement, a force spokesperson said: “We were called by a member of the public shortly after 2.30pm yesterday (09/09) reporting that a man had been attacked and robbed by another male in Frobisher Drive, Swindon.
“During the incident, the victim’s electric bike was stolen by a male who was riding an electric scooter and described as wearing a balaclava and dark clothing.
“The victim received wounds from a blade which are not thought to be life changing or life threatening.
“Local residents can expect to see a heightened police presence in the area as we continue our enquires to locate the offender.
