There’s a huge police presence in central Swindon this afternoon following an assault.

At least eight police vehicles were called to the scene in Manchester Road at around 2.10pm where a man was attacked by several people in an alleyway near Swindon Hand Car Wash.

Two Armed Response Vehicles (ARVs) and dog unit were sent to the incident to assist local officers. One marked Military Police car and two officers were also at the scene, but it is not clear why.
