A top nurse has been sentenced for crushing a woman in a horror crash in Swindon.
Dr Maxmiller Buyanga, who is known as Maxine, left her victim wedged between two cars in Kennedy Drive, Eldene, on Sunday 13 July 2025.
The 59-year-old, who most recently worked as the Deputy Divisional Director of Nursing at the Great Western Hospital, appeared in court on 24 March.

It was heard that Dr Buyanga had been driving a silver Jaguar I-PACE when she struck a 45-year-old female pedestrian outside the SR Motor Group showroom.
As a result the victim was wedged between the Jaguar and a Volkswagen Golf, which sustained damage to its bonnet.
Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance landed at the scene, with critical care medics providing urgent care to the woman alongside ambulance crews.

She was airlfited to the Major Trauma Centre at Southmead Hospital in Bristol for treatment for what at the time police described as “potentially life-changing” wounds.
At Swindon Magistrates Court on 24 March Dr Buyanga, of Bowleymead, Eldene, pleaded guilty to causing serious injury by careless driving.
She was banned from driving for 12 months and fined £2031. Prosecution costs of £85 and a surcharge of £812 must also be paid by the defendant.
The Great Western Hospital was approached for comment on 25 March, but did not respond.
