A drone flown near The Queen’s home in Wiltshire could hold key clues that could help the investigation into the death of a woman nearby.
Wiltshire Police wanted to speak to a group of males who had been operating an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle over Lacock Abbey on 13 August.
It relates to the ongoing probe into the unexplained death of a woman, aged in her 40s, at around 11pm. Her body was located next to the River Avon.
Detectives are keen to speak with those flying the drone between 7pm and 9pm as part of their investigation, as the footage captured could hold important information.
In a statement, a force spokesperson said: “Officers are looking to speak to a group of males seen flying a drone over Lacock Abbey on 13th August as part of an unrelated, ongoing investigation.
“They are believed to have been flying the drone between 7pm and 9pm.
“We are keen to speak with them to see if any footage captured could assist with the investigation.

Lacock Abbey is approximately half a mile from Queen Camilla’s home Ray Mill House in Reybridge.
