A serious incident is ongoing at Gablecross Police Station in Swindon.
A police helicopter is circling the building, with reports of a heavy police presence in the vicinity from around 4.30pm today (Wednesday).
Google Maps shows slow moving traffic on the A420 past the scene, as does Thornhill Road. It’s not clear if the delays are due to the ongoing incident.
Locals have reported seeing numerous unmarked police vehicles on blue lights and officers looking onto the railway line from a nearby bridge.
It’s believed the urgent search comes following the pursuit of a vehicle – which was dumped, with three males fleeing on foot.
