UPDATE: Man fighting for his life after ‘medical episode’ at Swindon bus station
Wiltshire Air Ambulance has landed at Swindon bus station for a serious incident.
The yellow and green helicopter touched down on the forecourt, just off Manchester Road, at around 5.45pm this afternoon (Thursday).
An eyewitness claims a person is receiving CPR near a bench close to the taxi rank.
Several ambulances and police vehicles are on scene, with officers taping off part of the bus station while the casualty is treated.
Traffic is unable to pass through the station while the air ambulance is on the ground.
A spokesperson for Swindon Bus Company said: “A medical helicopter has had to land in the bus station closing it off for all vehicles temporarily.
“Some delays expected across the network.”
