Young man taken to hospital after disorder at King George V Park in Melksham

A young man was injured in a disorder at a Melksham park yesterday evening.

Police and ambulance were called to the incident at King George V Park at shortly before 8pm on 19 December following reports of a disorder and an assault.

A 21-year-old man was taken to the Royal United Hospital in Bath with non-life-threatening injuries. His injuries aren’t believed to be serious.

It’s understood the victim was attacked by a large group of males.

Wiltshire Police says its investigation into the incident is ongoing.
