A 19-year-old woman has died after a car was hit by a lorry on a busy junction in Corsham.
Three air ambulances were scrambled to a serious road traffic collision on the A4 Bath Road at around 1.30pm on Thursday afternoon (24 July).
The incident involved an MJ Church-branded Scania tipper lorry and a grey Hyundai i10 on the junction for B3109 Bradford Road.

It’s believed the car pulled out of the B3109 into the path of the lorry travelling on the A4 towards Box, which resulted in the car being T-boned.
Emergency services, including Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance, Great Western Air Ambulance and Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, raced to the scene.

A 19-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the car, sustained significant injuries. Despite the best efforts of medics, she was pronounced dead.
Her family have been informed, Wiltshire Police has confirmed.
The female driver and male passenger of the car sustained serious injuries – and are currently being treated in hospital. The driver of the HGV was uninjured.

A full-scale forensic collision investigation was launched, with the junction cordoned off by police. The road reopened early this morning (Friday).
