A woman was arrested on suspicion of drug driving after her car overturned in Trowbridge yesterday.
Emergency services were called to the scene in Manor Road at around 5.30pm following reports of a Citroen colliding with a parked car and overturning onto its side.
Two fire crews from Trowbridge attended the incident, freeing the woman driver in her 40s from the wrecked car.
After being checked over by South Western Ambulance Service as a precaution, she was arrested on suspicion of drug driving and taken to Melksham custody suite.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We were called by the fire service at approximately 5.40pm last night following a report of a two vehicle collision in Manor Road, Trowbridge.
“A woman in her 40s was arrested on suspicion of drug driving – she has since been released under investigation while enquiries continue.”
