41-year-old Joanne Bowden-Jones, of Willow Drive, Durrington, is accused of causing the death of Teddy Britten-Goddard on the A303.

The toddler suffered life-threatening injuries in a three-vehicle collision on the major road just east of Amesbury on 28 March 2025.

He was travelling in a white Peugeot 208 with his mother, Holly Britten, who was also seriously injured.

Wiltshire Police previously said a grey Skoda Karoq joined the A303 eastbound at the Amesbury Road junction and collided with the Peugeot.

The impact caused the Peugeot to spin through a gap in the central barriers at Allington Track and onto the westbound carriageway, where it collided head-on with a silver Volvo V70.

Three air ambulances attended the crash and Teddy was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. He died from his injuries on 7 April 2025, ten days after the collision.

Following his death, Teddy’s mother described him as “the sweetest most loving little character that we were blessed to have”.

She added: “Teddy you will be missed my darling.”

Bowden-Jones is charged with causing Teddy’s death by driving a grey Skoda Karoq without due care and attention on the A303 Amesbury Bypass.

She is also charged with two counts of causing serious injury by careless or inconsiderate driving.

The charges allege she caused serious injury to Teddy’s mother, Holly Louise Britten, and Paul Stewart Cooper in the same collision.

Bowden-Jones is due to appear at Salisbury MAgistrates’ Court at 2pm today (Friday).
