Wiltshire road closed for hours after lorry driver hits power line

A Wiltshire road has been closed for hours after a lorry driver hit a power line.

Police were called to the crash on the B4192 in Aldbourne this morning (Monday).

In a statement, a Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “Please be advised we are currently dealing with an incident on the B4192 at Aldbourne in which a lorry driver has collided with a power line.

“Closures are in place at Preston and Whittonditch.

“The road is expected to remain closed for several hours while power line is repaired.

“Seek alternative routes and we will update this post once the road has reopened.”
