“Why did you stab my husband?” a woman was heard screaming after an attack in Swindon.
Police rushed to the serious assault in Manchester Road at around 8.30pm last night following reports of a group of people fighting in the street.
In a video seen by Wiltshire 999s, a man appears to fear for his life as an attacker chases him around the street as members of the public guard him from further injuries.
The incident is believed to have lasted approximately two minutes in total, ending with a bloodied man walking away via Corporation Street.
At least nine police vehicles – including an armed response vehicle and a dog unit – could be seen at the incident, along with a single ambulance.
Wiltshire Police said two men have been arrested following the disorder.
Two people were taken to hospital for assessment and have since been discharged. Their injuries aren’t believed to be serious.
Two men, aged 29 and 38, have been arrested in connection with the incident and are currently in police custody.
“This is believed to have been an isolated incident and we are not looking for anybody else at this time”, a force spokesperson said.
