Two women have been rushed to hospital after a crash on the A350 near Chippenham.
Emergency services were called to a three-vehicle road traffic collision just off Lackham Roundabout at around midday today (Monday).
The incident involved a white Toyota Aygo, a green Land Rover Freelander towing a caravan and a white Ford Focus.
Two women within the Toyota were cut free from the car by firefighters before being rushed to the Royal United Hospital in Bath for treatment.
Information about their injuries has not been released, but their wounds are not believed to be life-changing or life-threatening.
The road – between Lackham Roundabout and Lacock – was closed in both directions for around five hours while the scene was dealt with.
The closure caused significant traffic delays for motorists on the A350, and traffic built up on the A4 in Corsham.
