Two teenagers have been charged over a stabbing in Royal Wootton Bassett.
Emergency services were called to New Road Park on Monday evening (3 June) following reports of a disorder and subsequent knife attack.
A 16-year-old boy sustained stab wounds in the incident, and was rushed to hospital for treatment. His injuries are serious by not life-threatening.
A crime scene was in place between Ruxley Close and the entrance to the park in Richards Close, signifying that it is there the serious assault took place.
Two boys, a 15-year-old from Royal Wootton Bassett and 17-year-old from Swindon, face charges of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a blade in public.
They have been remanded in police custody and are due to appear at Swindon Magistrates’ Court this morning (Wednesday).
Neither defendant can be named due to their age.
