Two suspects flee after arson attack on haystack in Wiltshire field

Two suspects have fled after an arson attack on a haystack in a Wiltshire field.

Fire crews mobilised to reports of the blaze in Larkhall at around 1.50pm this afternoon (Tuesday).

Firefighters are on scene putting out the flames and preventing it from spreading.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We are appealing for witnesses following a large haystack fire in Larkhill at 13:50 hours today, 20/08/24.

“The fire is believed to have been set deliberately by two unknown suspects who fled the scene as Dorset and Wiltshire Fire Service arrived to control the blaze.

“Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to get in touch with police quoting 54240098160 via 101 or the online reporting form.”
