Two pedestrians struck by car whilst crossing main road in Swindon

Two pedestrians have been struck by a car on a main road in Swindon this evening (25 October).

Emergency services rushed to the serious incident in Queens Drive at around 7pm following reports two people had been hit by a vehicle.

The man and woman — believed to have been walking across the road together — we’re seen lying in the road following the collision as they were treated by medics.

The driver of the car remained at the scene.

Queens Drive is closed from Somerville Road in the direction of New College. Motorists are being diverted via Walcot.

Two ambulances and two police vehicles were in attendance.

The pair aren’t believed to have suffered an significant injuries in the incident.
