Two air ambulances have landed for a serious crash in Wiltshire this afternoon (Wednesday).
Emergency services are currently dealing with a road traffic collision on the A345 at West Chisenbury, a village just south of Upavon and eight miles north of Amesbury.
Great Western Air Ambulance and Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance both landed at the scene at around 3.45pm.
At least one person is believed to have sustained significant injuries, but further details are unclear at this stage.
Photos seen by Wiltshire 999s appear to show a Luton van and a car involved.
At present, the A345 between Upavon and Enford is shut by police – with nearby country lanes in the area flooded with motorists attempting to avoid the closure.
In a statement, a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “Drivers please be aware that we are currently at the scene of a collision on the A345 at West Chisenbury, Netheravon.
“Road closures are in place at the A345 junction with Enford and with the A342.
“Please find alternate routes.”
It’s not yet known how long police expect to keep the road closed, but if a forensic collision investigation is required it could be shut until Thursday morning (1 August).
