Dozens of travellers who took over a Swindon town centre car park on Friday evening have finally vacated, according to local residents.
Caravans were seen to take over the large car park on Turl Street – behind the former Carfax Street walk-in centre – at around 7pm on 11 August.
One witness told Wiltshire 999s that a number of people, understood to be travellers, were at the time attempting to forcibly enter the NHS building.
