A tractor and a van have been involved in a crash on a notorious Wiltshire junction.

Emergency services were called to a road traffic collision on the Black Dog Crossroads on the A360 at Freith at around 6pm this evening (Thursday).

The incident involved a tractor and a Volkswagen Transporter van, which sustained signifiant front-end damage.

The occupants of the vehicles didn’t suffer any injuries, but one person was reportedly checked over by a paramedic officer at the scene.

The road has been closed in both directions, but there is a short diversion in place along a nearby lane – meaning motorists don’t need to alter their entire routes.

In a statement, a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “Please be aware that the A360 at Black Dog crossroads near Market Lavington is currently blocked following an RTC between a tractor and a car.

“There are not thought to be any injuries but the road is currently blocked while recovery is arranged. Please find alternate routes.”

The A360 is expected to reopen by around 9pm.
