A young man was stabbed multiple times in an attack in the early hours of this morning.
Police were called to the incident in Wolsely Avenue, Park South shortly after midnight following repots of a serious assault.
The victim, 19-year-old man, was chased by a group of males before being stabbed repeatedly.
He was treated at the scene for his wounds – which police say are serious but not life-threatening – and is currently recovering in hospital.
A/Det Sgt Craig Rathbone said: “This was a very concerning assault by what we believe to be a group of males which resulted in the victim sustaining significant injuries.
“It is vitally important that we hear from anyone with information about this incident. We would also urge anyone who was driving in the area at the time to check dashcam footage for anything that might assist in identifying those involved.”
