A teenager has been arrested for arson after a blaze at a Swindon nightclub.
Emergency services were called to a raging fire at the now-derelict Lava Lounge building in Fleet Street in the early hours of this morning (Thursday).
Around 50 firefighters worked to tackle the flames, but much of the property was destroyed in the incident – including the entire roof. Read more >
Wiltshire Police has since confirmed that an 18-year-old male has been arrested on suspicion of arson and he is in custody for questioning.
Investigations are ongoing into the exact cause of the blaze.
The force wants to hear from anyone who was in the area at around 6pm on Wednesday (6 November) and remembers seeing anyone acting suspiciously.
