A teenage boy suffered a slice wound in an attack in Trowbridge Town Park last night.
The 15-year-old was returning home from a friend’s house at some time between 10.30pm and 11.30pm when he was approached by an ‘unknown man’ who assaulted him.
Whilst trying to flee, the boy suffered a slash wound to his arm before walking home. Emergency services were subsequently called to his address where he was taken to hospital for his injuries.
The suspect is described as around six foot tall in his late-20s or mid-30s. It is not yet clear what weapon was used in the assault.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “Just before midnight yesterday, we received a report that a 15-year-old boy had been assaulted in the Trowbridge Park area.
“Officers attended his home address and the park as part of our investigations.
“The teenager received minor injuries to his arm.
“We are appealing for witnesses – if you saw or heard anything suspicious in this area of town yesterday evening please contact us on 101 quoting crime reference number 54200084214.”
