WEST COUNTRY – A teenager has died in a motorcycle crash in a Gloucestershire village.
Emergency services were called to a single-vehicle road traffic collision in Standish, near Stonehouse, in the early hours of today (Sunday).
The incident involved a green Kawasaki off-road bike on the B4008 near Standish Church.
The rider, an 19-year-old male from Gloucester, was pronounced deceased at the scene. His next of kin has been informed.
The road was closed for collision investigation work – and reopened at about 1pm.
A spokesperson Gloucestershire Constabulary said: “Collision investigators are appealing for any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police or anyone with dashcam footage of the vehicle involved to come forward.
“They are also wanting to hear from anyone who saw the bike being ridden in the area last night.”
