A teen has been arrested after a young child witnessed an attack on two women.
The 18-year-old male is claimed to have lifted one of the victims over his shoulder and thrown her onto the ground.
When her friend tried to help she was allegedly grabbed by the neck and thrown into a bush.
One woman was taken to hospital to be treated for her injuries and the incident was carried out in front of a young child.
It happened in Westwood Road, near the turning for Rambridge Crescent, in Salisbury at around 9.30pm on 18 March.
An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault, harassment and engaging in controlling and/or coercive behaviour.
He has since been released on bail as the investigation continues.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We believe a man stopped his vehicle to check on the welfare of the women. We are keen to speak to him, or anyone else who saw what happened.
