A Swindon restaurant has remained closed today after a teenage boy, understood to be the owners’ son, passed away in the establishment yesterday morning.

The emergency services were called to the Spotted Cow, on Marlborough Road, at around 10.30am on Tuesday 16 May, after reports of a medical incident.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police spokesman: “We are continuing to investigate the death of a 17-year-old male, however there are no suspicious circumstances.

“A file is being prepared for the coroner.”

A spokesperson for Greene King said: “We are shocked and deeply saddened by this incident. This is clearly a very distressing time for all those involved and we are offering support to the team during this difficult time.”
