A man has been arrested after a paedophile hunter sting in Swindon.
Police were called to an address in the town centre at around 3pm on Sunday (28 January).
A group of paedophile hunters carried out a sting, confronting a man – alleging that he had been communicating sexually with a 14-year-old girl online.
Officers arrested the suspect, aged in his 50s, on suspicion of engaging in sexual communication with a child and he was questioned in custody.
The man has since been released on bail as the investigation continues.
The incident was live streamed on social media, but for legal reasons it cannot not be shared. The publication of such material could prejudice proceedings.
