A Swindon man who went to meet a child for sex but changed his mind at the last minute has been arrested by detectives following a nine-week search operation.
Paedophile hunter Danny Catcher says the man, who’s thought to be in his 30s, was in the Bath area to meet a 14-year-old girl on Monday 7 August.
Despite confirming that he was in the area ready to meet the child, he was spooked at the last minute and left. But, the hunter says he’s still committed the offence.
“Sadly, I was not with my decoy and I was unable to send another photograph. He refused to meet, and left the area. Despite this, he still came to meet a child following grooming”, Danny Catcher wrote on his official Facebook page.
The suspect was arrested on or around Sunday 15 October, taken to Gablecross Police Station and later released under investigation.
