A barber caught operating out of his home address has been banned from working by the courts.

It’s understood the man, working out of a property in Gorse Hill, Swindon, was warned to stop trading during the coronavirus lockdown but ignored the request and continued anyway.

As a result, Wiltshire Police and Swindon Borough Council together obtained a prohibition order against the man – this means if he continues to trade he will be prosecuted.

Writing on Facebook, a police spokesperson said: “Reportedly the male was very busy with customers coming and going on a regular basis.

“A prohibition order has now been served on the male after he continued to show a disregard for the coronavirus regulations.”
