A suspected stalker’s been arrested after a disorder at a Chippenham pub.
Police raced to reports of a disturbance at The Rowden Arms, a Hungry Horse establishment, in Bath Road at around 7.35am this morning (Monday).
During the incident, the main doors and two windows were spray-painted with expletives – including the words: “Fat c**t”.
A suspect, a man aged in his 40s, was located in nearby Coppice Close and was arrested on suspicion of two counts of criminal damage.
After officers spoke to the female victim, he was further arrested for assault occasioning actual bodily harm, stalking with fear of violence, drug driving and driving without insurance.
He has been taken to Melksham custody for questioning.
Locals claim there were five police vehicles in attendance at the height of the incident.
