A stolen car has been found after a locate resident reported their suspicions to police.
Officers were sent to investigate following a call to Wiltshire Police raising concerns about a Range Rover Evoque parked in Manor Road, Mere.
At the scene on Tuesday morning (16 December), enquiries found that the vehicle had been reported stolen and was displaying false number plates.
“The vehicle has now been recovered and will be returned to the rightful owner”, a spokesperson for the force said.
“A huge thank you to the resident for taking the time to report this. Your information really does make a difference.
“If you see anything suspicious, please report it via 101 or our online reporting form. Always call 999 in an emergency.”
