UPDATE: B3109 crash: Cyclist seriously injured after being hit by overtaking car
A serious crash involving a cyclist and a car has closed a road near Corsham.
Emergency services were called to the scene on the B3109, at the junction to Wadswick Country Store, at around 9.30am this morning (Thursday).
The cyclist — a female — has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries, whilst the driver of the car – a silver Mercedes-Benz – was uninjured.
No arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
The road is closed between Leafy Lane and the A365 Devizes Road — and is expected to remain closed until late evening for forensic collision investigation work.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “Bradford Road, Corsham is currently closed following a road traffic collision involving a cyclist and a vehicle.
“Please find alternative routes.”
