A serious crash has shut the A4 in both directions west of Chippenham.
Emergency crews were called to the scene in Box Hill at around 4.30pm this afternoon (Monday).
A bus was involved in a collision with a car, leaving at least one person trapped inside.
Several fire crews and more than five ambulances, supported by two Hazardous Area Response Teams, are in attendance alongside Wiltshire Air Ambulance.
The number of people who sustained injuries is unknown at present – but at least one person has been taken to the Major Trauma Centre at Southmead Hospital in Bristol.

999 services remain at the scene – and the road is likely to remain closed for some hours.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “The A4, Box is currently closed at the junction of The Bassetts in all directions following a road traffic collision involving a bus and a car.
“We will provide further updates where possible.”
