The main road between Swindon and Marlborough has been closed.
Emergency services are understood to be in attendance of a road traffic collision near Chiseldon.
The A346 has been shut by police between the Chiseldon junction and Ogbourne St George following the incident.
The exact nature of the crash is unknown at this time.
The road is likely to remain closed until at least 5.30pm at the earliest.
