Wiltshire police officers are warning parents to ‘check on the welfare of their children’ after a large group of youths were caught drinking and taking drugs.

Around 40 young people were found by officers drinking alcohol, smoking cannabis and taking other drugs on Friday evening, 11 November.

A bag of alcohol and some nitrous oxide canisters were confiscated by police.

A police spokesperson said: “Do you know where your children are? We currently have a group approx 40 in size out drinking and smoking cannabis.

“Also we have confiscated a bag of alcohol and some nitrous oxide canisters off of the group. Please check on the welfare of your child.”
