A police vehicle was involved in a crash with a car on a main in Swindon this afternoon.
The road traffic collision happened at around 3pm and involved a Wiltshire Police transport van and a dark-coloured Peugeot 108 in the north of the town.
Emergency services were called to the incident on Thamesdown Drive, where the road meets Cricklade Road, but nobody suffered any notable injuries.
A police spokesperson said they don’t believe the van was responding to a 999 call at the time of the crash, but an eyewitness said they had stopped to allow it to pass – because it was travelling on blue lights and sirens – moments before it was struck.
