Police swarmed an area of Swindon this afternoon following reports of a ‘large fight’ outside a Farmfoods supermarket.
Officers arrived at the scene in Whitworth Road within fours minutes of the 999 call, but the group involved in the reported disorder had already dispersed.
In total, at least eight police vehicles were seen in the area, attending the incident.
“Shortly before 4.30pm today (13/10) we received a report of an alleged disorder in Whitworth Road, Swindon”, a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said.
Adding: “Officers arrived at the scene within four minutes but the group had dispersed and we have not located anyone who has been assaulted or injured.”
Police remain in the area conducting area searches as part of their investigation.
