Police stopped traffic in Westbury to help a family of swans cross the road this afternoon.
Officers on patrol pulled over to assist the bird and its seven cygnets crossing Mane Way safely and head into the Westbury Leigh housing estate.
PC Chaventre and PCSO Moore momentarily stopped traffic whilst the group passed.
“We wish the family well on their day out”, a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said.
Adding: “Local residents have kindly offered to contact the RSPB to check there are no concerns, but all members of the family appeared happy.
“Cue the Hot Fuzz jokes…”
