Police carried out a search for a naked man in Fairford on Thursday (26 August).
Officers responded to a call from a member of the public reporting a male acting suspiciously in the Gloucestershire town.
According to locals, he was spotted ‘jumping around on all fours’ on a footpath between the Fairford Youth Football Club and the River Coln at around 1.40pm.
Whilst he may have been unclothed, the suspect did not approach the witness and left the area before police arrived.
A spokesperson for Gloucestershire Constabulary said: “We received a report that a naked man had been seen near a footpath in Fairford at around 1.40pm yesterday, Thursday 26 August.
“This was in the area between Horcott Road and Dilly’s Bridge. Officers attended and searched the area but he was not located.
“It was reported that the man hadn’t approached the caller or said anything to them.
“He was described as being a white man aged in his 30s and had brown hair.”
